This site is dedicated to the memory of Joanne Richardson (formerly Gilfoyle) and Mya Richardson.

On the 8th August 2010, whilst travelling home from a family wedding in Scotland, the families car was hit head on by a driver heading the wrong way down the A1 outside of Newcastle. Joanne was killed instantly and Mya passed away 16 hours later in her Dads arms.

The site aims to promote a number of events which are planned to raise funds in their memory.

All funds raised from the site and from the charity events connected to the site will go to the newly formed charity in Joanne and Mya's name - The Jo & Mya Memorial Fund. The charity will help children who have been either directly impacted by the loss of an immediate family member ( borther, sister, mam or dad) and those who have family members directly affected by organ donation.

Every penny raised will go to helping children, over time, the aim is to be able to share individuals stories, so every one who donates can see exactly where there money is going, and know that every single penny matters. In the midst of all the tradgedy, maybe, together, we can make a difference to other peoples lives. Joanne and Mya would have both wanted that.
